Lori Faha

City of Bend

Learn more about the interconnections between geology, surface and groundwater, water law, and management in the Upper Deschutes Basin, and specifically about the City of Bend’s water services. This presentation will cover water recharge, water quality, and the two sources of Bend's drinking water (surface water from springs and Bridge Creek, and groundwater from the Deschutes Aquifer), and our “third source” of water – conservation. We’ll also consider a bit about the complexities of planning for a sustainable water future.
