Compare the four major, potentially active, Oregon Cascade Range composite volcanoes. Ski lifts take enthusiasts high onto the south slope of Mount Hood. One can climb South Sister in the summer and be back in town in time for an early afternoon beer. Crater Lake allows vehicle access to nearly the highest points of the entire volcano. But the fourth, Mount Jefferson? Much less well known is its volcanic, glacial, and modern debris-fan history. Let's talk about Mount Jefferson.
